Welcome to TapTrans (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). We value your privacy and data security and are committed to processing your information under the principles of minimal collection, transparency and control, and device-side priority. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information on iOS devices, as well as your rights regarding information.
Note: This App does not require account registration; is not used for third-party advertising tracking; and does not sell personal information.

This policy applies to all data we process when you use TapTrans (including the main App and keyboard extension) on iOS devices.
2. Information We Process and Purposes
Unless necessary to implement features, we do not collect or retain personally identifiable information. The following table lists possible data types and purposes:

Note: We do not use this for third-party advertising tracking; do not perform cross-App/website tracking; do not build "user profiles".
3. About iOS Keyboard and "Allow Full Access"
To implement online translation and cloud language model capabilities, iOS requires you to enable "Allow Full Access" for the keyboard extension. This is only used for:
- When you actively trigger translation/generation operations, sending relevant text to servers via encrypted channels to obtain results;
- Synchronizing necessary keyboard configurations (e.g., available language lists, hot-updated dictionaries).
We will not upload sensitive data such as your keystrokes, passwords, credit card information in the background without triggered operations. Please avoid using translation functions in scenarios where you do not want processing (e.g., password input fields).
4. How We Use Information
- Provide core functions: translation, polishing, generation, and content understanding;
- Respond to your requests and technical support;
- Improve performance and stability (through aggregated diagnostic information);
- Comply with laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements.
6. Retention Period and Location
- Input text and translated content: By default not persistently saved on servers, only temporarily processed to complete requests.
- Local settings: Saved on your device, can be cleared or reset within the App.
- Diagnostic logs: Deleted or anonymized after achieving the purpose of troubleshooting.
7. Security Measures
- Transmission encryption (TLS / HTTPS);
- Least privilege and access control;
- Data minimization and de-identified storage;
- Security auditing and vulnerability patching processes.
8. Your Rights and Choices
- Access/Correction: You can view and change preferences within the App.
- Deletion: You can clear cache and local data within the App; if you need to delete diagnostic information related to you (if any), you can contact us through the methods below.
- Permission Management: You can manage the keyboard's "Allow Full Access" and network access permissions in iOS settings.
- Opt-Out: You can turn off optional analysis data sharing (if provided) in settings.
9. Minors
This App is for general public and is not targeted at children under 13 years old. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from children, we will delete it as soon as possible.
10. Cross-Border Data Transfer
When providing translation/generation services for you, data may be transmitted and temporarily processed on overseas servers. We will adopt legally compliant transmission mechanisms and security measures (including transmission encryption and contract constraints).
11. Policy Changes
We may update this policy based on changes in features and regulations. Significant changes will be notified through in-App notifications or prominent page prompts, and a reasonable advance period will be given before taking effect.
